Tollywood stars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly are set to reunite on the big screen with Desu 7, which is scheduled for release during the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations.
The film also marks Dev’s directorial debut.
After wrapping up the shoot, Dev recently shared an emotional open letter on social media addressed to his co-star, praising her support throughout the project.
Dev revealed that Subhashree stood by him without hesitation when he was uncertain about taking on the responsibilities of directing and releasing the film.
According to him, she agreed to join the project without even knowing its story or title.
“I have known you for a long time, but this film made me realise how much you have grown as a person,” Dev wrote in the letter.
He also praised Subhashree’s dedication to her work and her ability to maintain a balance between her professional and personal life.
Reflecting on their careers, Dev said they began their journeys in the industry around the same time and expressed pride at being able to work together again at this stage of their lives.
The actor-turned-director also thanked Subhashree for keeping the audience’s affection for their on-screen pairing alive over the years and wished her continued success.
Desu 7 marks the reunion of the popular pairing after several years.
With Dev stepping behind the camera for the first time and the two stars returning together, the film has already generated considerable interest among their fans ahead of its Durga Puja release.
