One more person has died from dengue in the past 24 hours, while 329 new cases have been reported across the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest figures bring the dengue death toll to 28 since 1 January, with the total number of hospital admissions reaching 8,979 this year.
The DGHS Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room shared the updated figures in its daily dengue report on Tuesday.
Dhaka division, excluding city corporation areas, recorded the highest number of new admissions, with 146 patients hospitalised in the last 24 hours.
Barishal division reported 63 cases, followed by Chattogram with 51, Khulna with 40, Mymensingh with 13, Rajshahi with nine, Rangpur with six and Sylhet with one.
Within the Dhaka city corporations, 38 dengue patients were admitted in hospitals under Dhaka North City Corporation and 46 under Dhaka South City Corporation during the same period.
The person who died was a resident of Dhaka South City Corporation, the report said.
Currently, 829 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals across the country.
Of them, 176 are receiving treatment in hospitals within the two Dhaka city corporations, while 653 are admitted at facilities outside the capital.
Meanwhile, 322 patients recovered and were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 8,122.
Among the newly hospitalised patients, 212 were male and 117 female, accounting for 64.4 percent and 35.6 percent respectively.
The highest number of infections was recorded among people aged 26 to 30, with 50 patients from this age group admitted during the period.
