Five more dengue patients died while 490 new patients were hospitalised across the country in the past 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

Of the five deaths, one was reported from Dhaka North City Corporation, two from Dhaka South, and two from Mymensingh (outside city corporation areas).

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the latest fatalities have pushed this year’s dengue death toll to 391.

The DGHS data mentioned that of the 490 new dengue patients, 58 people were hospitalised in Barishal division, 88 in Chattogram division, 74 in Dhaka Division, 33 in Mymensingh division (outside city corporations), 106 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 77 in Dhaka South City Corporation,

A total of 640 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 93,836.

As of 3 December 2025, Bangladesh has recorded 96,067 dengue cases for the year. Of these patients, 62.4 per cent are male and 37.6 per cent female.

In 2024, Bangladesh reported 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths, while in 2023 the country recorded a record 321,179 cases and 1,705 deaths.
