The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had earlier issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) inviting ownership bids for the upcoming season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Tuesday was the final day for submitting the tender documents. Until Monday, only two applications had been received, one for Dhaka Capitals and another for Cumilla Fighters.

However, a total of ten organizations have now submitted applications to own teams in the upcoming edition of the BPL as the BCB begins finalizing franchise rights for the next cycle of the tournament.

Rajshahi’s application was rejected due to the absence of a pay order. The franchise could, however, reapply under new ownership after completing the necessary formalities before the final deadline.

BCB officials confirmed that all applications are currently under review. The board will assess the financial and operational proposals from each organization before awarding franchise rights.

There has been no report of an application from Fortune Barishal, the two-time defending champions.
