Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for a missile and drone attack on a military base in southern Saudi Arabia.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group targeted the Sharurah base with ballistic missiles and drones, reports Al Jazeera.
The attack targeted “weapons depots and command and control centres that are managing the aggression against our nation and people”, Saree wrote on X.
He did not specify when the attack took place.
Saree warned Saudi Arabia that further military action against Yemen would trigger larger and more intense strikes deeper inside Saudi territory.
