Police are investigating whether the explosions are linked to the NCP rally.

Madaripur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-charge Abul Kalam Azad said the incident might have stemmed from internal disputes over the formation of party committees.

He added that the explosions could also have been intended to create fear ahead of the rally.

OC Abul added that efforts are underway to investigate the incident and identify those involved.
