The second edition of Cosmetica Dhaka 2026 will begin on September 3 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Kuril, Dhaka, bringing together cosmetics brands, manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and health and beauty experts from 16 countries to highlight investment and business opportunities in Bangladesh’s growing cosmetics, personal care and hygiene products market.

The three-day exhibition, which will continue until September 5, will feature more than a hundred product stalls, live demonstrations, beauty consultations, discussions with skincare experts and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, the organisers said in a press release. Participants from countries including South Korea, Thailand and India will join local industry players at the event.

Bangladesh’s cosmetics, toiletries and personal care sector has expanded alongside rising consumer demand, with local entrepreneurs building a stronger presence alongside major multinational companies. Increased investment in product diversity, quality, packaging and technology-driven manufacturing is creating new opportunities, while demand for affordable products is helping local brands increase their market share.

The industry presents investment opportunities in local raw material production, advanced manufacturing technologies, quality control, research and development, sustainable packaging and export-oriented manufacturing. Expanding domestic production of raw materials and other inputs could reduce import dependency, control production costs and strengthen Bangladesh’s competitiveness in international markets.

According to industry sources, Bangladesh’s cosmetics, toiletries and personal care products market is currently valued at more than BDT 350 billion. An earlier study by the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission (BTTC) estimated the market size of cosmetics and hygiene products at more than BDT 340 billion. The sector continues to grow, driven by demand for skincare, haircare, colour cosmetics, fragrances, grooming and hygiene products.

Cosmetics and toiletries are among the priority industrial sectors under the investment framework of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), with scope for further investment in manufacturing, modern technologies, research and development, quality control, packaging and export-oriented production.

Tanzin Sultana Priyanka, Managing Director of the organising company SquadMind Global Limited, said in a press release, “Bangladesh’s cosmetics, skincare, fragrance and personal care sectors have now emerged as promising industries with significant growth potential. This year’s Cosmetica Dhaka will not only showcase cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, personal care and hygiene products, technologies and services, but will also create opportunities for business networking and investment. One of our key objectives is to highlight the potential of Bangladesh’s cosmetics and personal care industry on the international stage.”

The exhibition will also provide opportunities for business networking and investment through displays of cosmetics, personal care and hygiene products, technologies and services from different countries. Organisers expect the event to contribute to attracting new investment, facilitating technology transfer and creating international partnerships in Bangladesh’s cosmetics and personal care industry.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm each day.
