A construction worker died after falling from the roof of a building in the capital’s Uttar Badda area on Wednesday.
The deceased, Nazmul Hossain, 28, worked as a rod mason and hailed from Dewanganj upazila of Jamalpur.
He had been residing in Uttar Badda.
The incident occurred around noon while he was working on a five-storey building. According to family members, Nazmul fell from the rooftop during work.
He was rescued in a critically injured state and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared him dead.
Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp at the hospital, confirmed the incident.
