Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has partnered with Zaytoon Fintech Limited to roll out Bangla QR–enabled digital payment services, aiming to expand financial inclusion and improve access to secure banking among underserved communities.
According to a Community Bank press release, the collaboration will introduce Bangla QR Merchant Acquiring Services to widen access to seamless digital transactions, particularly in geographically dispersed areas and among marginalised populations.
Under the agreement, Zaytoon Fintech will operate as a Payment System Operator and white-label merchant acquirer, providing Bangla QR–based payment and acquiring services through Community Bank’s nationwide distribution network.
The agreement was signed at the head office of Community Bank by Community Bank Managing Director (MD) current charge Kimiwa Saddat and Zaytoon Fintech Chairman Md Arfan Ali on behalf of their respective organisations.
Senior executives from both institutions attended the signing ceremony, including Community Bank Chief Operating Officer Shamsul Haque Sufyani, Head of Agent Banking, Foreign Remittance, Transaction Banking and Strategic Business Unit SK Perves Maraker, Head of Corporate Banking and Head of Business Branch Md Ariful Islam, Chief Information Technology Officer and Head of Digital Financial Services Md Tanjim Morshed Bhuiyan, and Head of Operations Sarfuddin Md Redwan Patwary.
Zaytoon Fintech was represented by MD Md Mizanur Rahman, Director Sabit Israr and Director Akber Hossain, along with other senior officials.
Both organisations said the partnership is expected to strengthen the country’s digital transaction ecosystem and accelerate inclusive access to financial services nationwide.
