Community Bank Bangladesh PLC held a day-long training workshop on A-Challan business acquisition and operations at its head office in Dhaka on 26 July, seeking to strengthen government revenue collection and frontline implementation across its branches.
Shamsul Haque Sufyani, the bank’s managing director in current charge, inaugurated the programme as chief guest, Community Bank said in a press release. He highlighted the growing importance of digital integration and seamless revenue collection through the Automated Chalan System.
Sufyani said the bank remained committed to improving operational efficiency and customer experience through technological modernisation.
Finance Division specialists conducted the technical and operational sessions. They included AKM Mukhlesur Rahman, senior functional consultant; Md Sharifur Rahman, senior IT consultant; and Md Jobayer Ahammad, junior consultant.
The sessions covered the A-Challan system’s functional framework, CBS-iBAS++ application programming interface integration, system security and the live execution of over-the-counter transactions.
The bank’s chief business officer, chief information and technology officer, head of transaction banking, chief financial officer and head of treasury attended the inauguration alongside other senior officials and participants.
The workshop ended with interactive feedback and evaluation sessions aimed at ensuring robust implementation across all branches.
