Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has invested in Bangladesh Startup Investment Company under a Start-Up Financing Initiative to support innovation-driven enterprises, the bank said on 22 February 2026.

The initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship, create employment and contribute to sustainable economic growth, according to the bank.

The pay order was handed over at a ceremony at the SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank.

Community Bank Bangladesh PLC Managing Director (Current Charge) Kimiwa Saddat handed over the pay order to Bangladesh Startup Investment Company through Bangladesh Bank SME and Special Programmes Department Director Nawshad Mustafa.

Community Bank Chief Financial Officer Md Shariful Islam Kadir, Head of SME Hossain-Al-Safeer Chowdhury and Head of Agriculture Sharif Hasan Mamun attended.

Senior officials from both organisations were also present.
