The family of late action star Chuck Norris has spoken out against AI-generated content falsely reporting on his death. Following his passing on March 19 at the age of 86, numerous fabricated videos and posts began circulating online.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the family warned fans not to believe or share any information unless it comes directly from them or an official representative.
They described the content as “false and misleading,” including fabricated claims about Norris’ health, circumstances of his death and family relationships.
One widely circulated AI image showed a fictional funeral with actors such as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson around a casket. The family stressed that such depictions are entirely untrue.
Norris is survived by his second wife Gena O’Kelley, his sons Eric, Mike and Dakota, daughters Danilee and Dina, and 13 grandchildren.
The family thanked supporters for their prayers and urged them to continue remembering Norris respectfully.
