Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday held a stakeholder meeting on the draft Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (Public Offer of Equity Securities) Rules 2025 at its multipurpose hall in Agargaon. The information was given by officials present at the meeting.
Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Khondker Rashed Maqsood chaired the session, where stakeholders discussed the draft rules and shared their recommendations.
Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Commissioner Farzana Lalarukh and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Commissioner Md Saifuddin attended the meeting.
DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh President Saiful Islam, Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh President Hossain Sadat, Investment Corporation of Bangladesh Managing Director Niranjan Chandra Debnath and Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association President Mazeda Khatun were present.
Public Private Partnership Authority Director Moh Ashraful Islam, Financial Institutions Division Deputy Secretary Farzana Zahan and Financial Reporting Council Executive Director Md Tareq Kamal also attended.
Microcredit Regulatory Authority Director Mohammad Kamal Hossain, Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market Executive President Wazid Hasan Shah, Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC Acting Managing Director Mohammad Asadur Rahman, Central Depository Bangladesh Limited Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Md Abdul Motaleb and Chattogram Stock Exchange Chief Regulatory Officer Mohammed Mahadi Hasan joined the discussion.
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh Council Member Md Yeasin Mia and Ziaur Rahman Zia, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries Deputy Secretary General Sayed Amirul Islam, Dhaka Bank Securities Managing Director Md Nafiz Al Tariq and MTB Capital Chief Executive Officer Sumit Poddar were also present.
Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association Executive Committee Member Iftakhar Alam, CFA Society Chairman Md Minhaz Zia, UCB Investment Vice President H A Mamun and SME Foundation Assistant Manager Asiya Akter Popsi attended along with senior officials of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission.
