Netflix has revealed that Francesca Bridgerton, played by Hannah Dodd, will take centre stage in the upcoming fifth season of ‘Bridgerton’.
Two years after the death of her husband John Stirling, Francesca is set to return to the marriage mart for practical reasons, only to find her emotions challenged when John’s cousin Michaela, played by Masali Baduza, arrives in London to manage the Kilmartin estate.
The season adapts Julia Quinn’s sixth book in the series, When He Was Wicked, exploring Francesca’s journey as she balances pragmatic decisions with the stirrings of new love.
Meanwhile, Benedict Bridgerton, portrayed by Luke Thompson, continues his story as a newlywed alongside Sophie Gun, following their wedding in season four.
