BRAC Bank PLC has launched a post-maternity return-to-work support programme to help female employees reintegrate into the workforce after childbirth, according to a press release.
The bank said this programme is designed to provide structured emotional, medical and workplace assistance during and after maternity leave.
Key components include providing the employee access to professional counselling and medical guidance, optional engagement touchpoints during maternity leave, sensitisation sessions for teams and people managers, and flexible work arrangements.
The programme also includes optional group sessions on post-partum depression, ongoing counselling support and information on daycare and caregiver facilities.
Besides, clear responsibilities have been defined for line managers and HR business partners to ensure fair performance evaluation, unbiased reintegration and outcome-focused management, it added.
Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and CEO of BRAC Bank, said the initiative aims to ensure that returning mothers feel supported and confident as they resume their professional roles.
“This programme allows new mothers to return to work with dignity and certainty that BRAC Bank supports them every step of the way,” he added.
