Eid-ul-Fitr release ‘Bonolota Express’ is set to arrive on the streaming platform Hoichoi from May 24, following a successful run in cinemas in Bangladesh and overseas.
The platform is attached to the film as both streaming partner and co-producer. According to sources associated with the production, the plan had always been to bring the film to OTT after approximately two months in theatres.
Despite its digital release, audiences will still be able to watch the film in cinemas.
Directed by Tanim Noor, the film is based on the novel ‘Kichukhon’ by celebrated writer Humayun Ahmed.
Since its Eid release, the film has reportedly earned more than Tk14 crore in Bangladesh. Including international markets, its worldwide earnings have crossed Tk20 crore. Last Friday alone, the film collected Tk 24 lakh from multiplexes.
The ensemble cast includes Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Shariful Raj, Sabila Noor, Shyamal Mawla, Zakia Bari Mamo, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Shamima Nazneen, Intekhab Dinar and Arefin Jilani.
