BNP has called upon citizens to ensure their civic rights by participating in the ongoing democratic process through voting.
Mahdi Amin, the spokesperson for the BNP’s election management committee, made the appeal during a press conference held at the party’s election management office in Gulshan on Thursday.
He urged those who had not yet cast their ballots to participate in what he described as a “historic moment” for the country’s democratic journey.
According to Mahdi Amin, the primary objective of this election is to establish the rights of the people and return “state ownership” to the citizens through their participation in the polls.
He expressed hope that voters would utilize the remaining time before the close of polling to secure their constitutional rights.
While acknowledging the presence of long queues at polling stations, Amin noted that the pace of the voting process has not been as expected.
He further mentioned that the election is being conducted across approximately 43,000 polling centres nationwide.
