The newly elected members of parliament (MPs) from BNP have decided not to take duty-free vehicles and government-allotted plots.

The decision was taken during the first meeting of BNP lawmakers held at 12pm on Tuesday.

According to BNP Media Cell, all elected MPs were present at the meeting.

In the same meeting, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman was elected the Leader of the House and Prime Minister following a vote by the party’s MPs.

At around 4pm, a swearing-in ceremony was organised for the cabinet members at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin is scheduled to administer the oath-taking ceremony.
