Biman Bangladesh Airlines has temporarily suspended all flights on the Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, and Dammam routes due to the recent situation in the Middle East.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, Biman Bangladesh Airlines stated that flight operations to these six destinations have been halted since 28 February, and this suspension will remain in effect until further notice. However, the notice mentioned that Biman’s flights on other Middle Eastern routes – Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Muscat – are operating normally.
The notice further stated that passengers who have purchased tickets for travel during the suspended period can claim a refund for their tickets without any additional charges or can change their travel dates free of cost.
Passengers can avail this service at any Biman sales centre in the country or abroad, or at the travel agency from which they purchased the ticket.
Additionally, the notice said that passengers can contact Biman’s call centre at 13636 (from within the country) or +8809610913636 (international) for flight-related information.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ General Manager (Public Relations) Bosra Islam stated that the situation in the Middle East is being regularly monitored, prioritising passenger safety and security, and updated information will be provided as necessary.
The national flag carrier airline has expressed regret to passengers for this temporary inconvenience.
