Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited has congratulated Mir Nadia Nivin on her appointment as Chairman of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), expressing confidence that her leadership will help make Bangladesh’s insurance industry more dynamic, transparent and modern.
The greetings were conveyed during a courtesy meeting held on Thursday at the IDRA headquarters, where MM Monirul Alam, Chief Executive Officer of Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited, and Mohammad Alamgir Kabir, Chief Operating Officer, presented flowers to the newly appointed chairman and wished her a successful tenure, the company said in a press release.
Md Fazlul Haque, Member (Administration) of IDRA, and Md Apel Mahmud, Member (Life), were also present at the meeting.
The participants discussed the overall development of Bangladesh’s insurance sector, with a focus on strengthening good governance, expanding customer services, promoting technology-driven insurance operations and increasing public awareness of insurance.
Representatives of Bengal Islami Life Insurance expressed hope that, under Mir Nadia Nivin’s leadership, the insurance industry would become more efficient, transparent and modern, while public confidence in and acceptance of insurance would continue to grow.
The company also wished the newly appointed chairman good health, a long life and continued success in her professional career.
