Bengal Commercial Bank PLC outlined its business priorities for 2026 at a two-day annual conference in Cox’s Bazar, focusing on growth in the CMSME segment, technology expansion and internal coordination.

The “Annual Business Conference 2026”, held on 17–18 January under the theme “Building Tomorrow’s Bank Today”, was inaugurated by Bengal Commercial Bank PLC Chairman Md Jashim Uddin, who is also President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He urged management to pursue sustainable CMSME growth, accelerate technological development and strengthen teamwork to meet the bank’s 2026 goals.

The chairman called on employees to work as a unified team and emphasised integrity, innovation and excellence as guiding principles. Bank Director Md Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury attended the event as special guest.

The conference was chaired by Managing Director and CEO Tarik Morshed, who presented an overview of the bank’s 2025 performance. He highlighted capital adequacy, controlled non-performing loans and corporate governance as the foundation of the bank’s financial position, and outlined new business opportunities and an action plan for 2026.

Senior management encouraged participants to adapt to change, improve productivity and contribute to achieving strategic objectives. Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer K M Awlad Hossain, deputy managing directors, divisional heads and branch managers from across the country attended.

Awards were presented to branches and head office divisions for meeting business targets and delivering strong performance in 2025.
