Mikhail Kasko, non-resident ambassador of Belarus to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at his office in the National Parliament Building in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the agriculture sector through enhanced experience sharing and technology transfer.
During the discussion, the ambassador commended the government’s recent initiatives and congratulated it on receiving strong public support in the latest election.
The LGRD minister expressed Bangladesh’s interest in benefiting from Belarus’s expertise in agriculture to improve productivity and sectoral development.
Ambassador Mikhail Kasko described Bangladesh as a dependable partner for Belarus and assured continued technical assistance. He also pointed to potential opportunities for expanding trade and concluding economic agreements between the two countries.
Director General of the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Inspection Wing Md Mahmudul Hasan was also present at the meeting.
