Renowned musician Bappa Majumder has released a romantic duet, ‘Tumi Bollei’, featuring vocalist Tina Russell, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The track, penned by National Film Award-winning lyricist Zulfikar Russell, sees Bappa lending his voice and directing both the melody and musical arrangement.
This marks the second collaboration between the trio, following their 2023 hit ‘Kuchu Nei Jar’, which reunited Bappa and Zulfikar after a 12-year hiatus. The new track was recorded at Bappa’s Banani studio and continues their celebrated partnership.
The accompanying music video, produced by Chandan Roy Chowdhury, was filmed at a scenic location in Dhaka. It premiered on Tina Russell’s YouTube channel at 8 pm on Saturday, February 14.
Bappa Majumder commented, “Zulfikar Russell is very dear to me and central to my musical journey. Working with him is always a pleasure. Tina’s voice adds a new beauty to the song, and I hope our audience enjoys it.”
Lyricist Zulfikar Russell added, “Bappa Bhai and I have created many songs together over the years. ‘Tumi Bollei’ continues that journey. Tina’s vocals bring a fresh dimension, and I am optimistic the audience will appreciate our work.”
Tina Russell said, “It is a privilege to sing alongside Bappa Bhai to Zulfikar Russell’s lyrics. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope listeners enjoy our new song.”
The release of ‘Tumi Bollei’ provides fans with a melodious celebration of love, perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day.
