The High Commission of Bangladesh in New Delhi has expressed deep shock and grief over the tragic building collapse in the capital’s Satya Niketan area.

In an official condolence message, the mission conveyed its profound sympathies to the bereaved families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the disaster.

The High Commission also extended its thoughts and prayers for the swift recovery of the injured and the safety of individuals feared trapped under the debris.

Reaffirming its support during this crisis, the diplomatic mission said that it stands in firm solidarity with all the men, women, and children affected by the tragic incident as rescue operations continue.

Rescue teams are still digging through the rubble after the five-storey residential building collapsed in south-west Delhi last Sunday, killing at least seven people.

Indian authorities say 12 people were taken to hospital, while others remain under treatment.
