The Bangladesh archery team has been warmly received at home following their gold medal victory at the Asia Cup Archery Tournament (Stage-1) in Bangkok, Thailand. The men’s compound team defeated Vietnam to claim the top prize, marking a proud moment for the nation.
On Sunday afternoon, the medal-winning squad arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. On behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Secretary Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam welcomed the archery team with flowers. Asia Archery President Kazi Rajib Uddin Chapal and other officials were also present during the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Youth and Sports Secretary Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam said, “Winning the gold medal against Vietnam in a major tournament like the Asia Cup is a proud achievement for our country. I firmly believe that our archery team will achieve even greater success on the international stage and raise the flag of Bangladesh higher on the world platform.”
