A fire broke out at a clothing warehouse located on the 11th floor of a high-rise building in the capital’s Banani area on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 7pm at building 44 on Road 12, situated in front of the Banani kitchen market.
Anwarul Islam, media officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the matter. He stated that after receiving the report, two units were initially dispatched to the scene to begin fire-fighting operations.
Subsequently, three additional units were sent to the spot, with five units working to bring the flames under control.
The fire was finally brought under control at 8:15pm, with no casualties in the incident reported so far.
