After five years since the success of Zero Hour, Bangladesh’s most acclaimed game, AttritoM7 Productions has announced its next project: BLACKWOOD, a cinematic third-person action-thriller that blends storytelling, gameplay, and music into one noir-inspired experience.

Set in authentic 2012 New York, BLACKWOOD follows Anton Blackwood, an assassin who runs a small DVD store in Brooklyn by day – and returns to a life of violence by night, according to a press release.

The game’s dual-life structure allows players to manage Anton’s quiet daily routine, decorate and manage his store and apartment, and then descend into the underworld of assassination contracts, brutal takedowns, and high-octane chases after dark.

Built in Unity 6 HDRP, BLACKWOOD features a fully in-house original soundtrack performed by the studio’s own band. The game draws inspiration from Max Payne 3, Mafia II, and John Wick, combining responsive third-person gunplay, grounded melee combat, and stylized cinematic direction.

“BLACKWOOD is our most ambitious project yet,” said the team at AttritoM7 Productions. “It’s made in Bangladesh, but it is made for the world – a story about identity, obsession, and performance, told through gameplay that feels as cinematic as it looks.”

With BLACKWOOD, AttritoM7 Productions is expanding beyond tactical realism into story-rich, character-driven experiences. At its heart remains the studio’s simple philosophy – make good games.
