Dhaka Division cruised to their second successive victory in the NCL T20, defeating Sylhet Division by nine wickets with 18 balls to spare at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The commanding win propelled Mahidul Islam Ankon’s side to the top of the points table with five points from three matches.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Sylhet suffered a poor start, slumping to 15 for 3. However, they recovered through a solid 82-run fourth-wicket partnership between Amite Hasan and Asadulla Al Galib. Both batters scored identical half-centuries, each making 52, to help Sylhet post a modest total of 134 for 7.

Mosaddek Hossain was the standout bowler for Dhaka, claiming 3 wickets including both set batters. Shuvagata Hom and Mahfuzur Rabby supported well, picking up two wickets apiece. Rejaur Rahman Raja added a late flourish for Sylhet with a quick 15 off 8 balls, but the total remained below par.

In reply, Dhaka’s openers set the tone with a commanding 93-run stand. Ashiqur Rahman Shibli starred with a 60 off just 39 deliveries, hammering six fours and three sixes. His partner Rayan Rafsan Rahman remained unbeaten on 46 from 45 balls. Though Naeem Hossain managed to dismiss Shibli, it was too little, too late for Sylhet.

Ariful Islam then joined Rayan at the crease and added a brisk 26 not out off 18 balls to take Dhaka to 135 for 1 in just 17 overs, wrapping up a convincing victory.
