However, Mehazabien and her brother did not initiate the promised business activities. When Amirul requested repayment, they repeatedly postponed payment, claiming they would settle “tomorrow or the next day,” causing prolonged delays.
On February 11, Amirul approached Mehazabien and her brother to demand repayment. He was asked to meet them at a restaurant near Hatirjheel Road on March 16.
Amirul alleged that at the location, Mehazabien, her brother, and four to five unidentified individuals verbally abused him. They reportedly warned him not to visit their home to demand repayment again and issued life-threatening remarks.
Fearing for his safety, Amirul approached Vatara Police Station, where authorities advised him to file a case in court. He subsequently lodged the complaint on March 24 under Sections 107/117(3) of the Criminal Procedure Code at the Executive Magistrate Court in Dhaka.
Following the warrant, Mehazabien Chowdhury addressed the matter on her verified social media account, describing the allegations as baseless and false. She stated that she respects the law and order of the country and confirmed that her lawyer is handling the matter appropriately.
