Popular small-screen actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba is set to take the stage in the United States for his first solo concert.
Titled Apurba Musical Night, the concert will take place on 25 July in New York City. The nearly two-hour event will feature Apurba performing some of his favourite songs.
The organisers will officially announce details about the venue and ticket information soon.
Rumours about the concert had been circulating in the United States for several days. Although promotional posters for the event were shared on social media, Apurba had not commented on the matter. He finally confirmed the news himself through a social media post.
Alongside acting, Apurba has showcased his musical talent on several occasions. The actor has often impressed fans by singing with a guitar at gatherings, stage programmes and special events. He has also lent his voice to TV dramas and telefilms.
Apurba has been living in the United States for the past few months. After marrying expatriate Shamma Dewan Trisha in 2021, he has spent a significant part of the year there. His wife and daughter also live in the US.
Despite staying abroad, Apurba has remained connected with acting. Whenever he returns to Bangladesh, he becomes busy with new projects.
Most recently, he received praise for his role as journalist Zahir in Saleh Sobhan Anim’s web series. The series marked his return to OTT platforms after two years and was released in June.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Apurba will begin work on the second season of the popular web series Golam Mamun after returning to Bangladesh. Directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu, the new instalment will once again feature Apurba as police officer Golam Mamun.
