The Dhaka Education Board has announced specific instructions regarding the types of calculators and wristwatches candidates are allowed to carry for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examination 2026.
A directive issued on Wednesday by the office of Controller of Examinations states that examinees may only use approved models of non-programmable scientific calculators and basic analogue wristwatches within the examination halls.
The board has authorised the use of following scientific calculator models: FX-82MS, FX-100MS, FX-570MS, FX-991MS, FX-991EX, FX-991ES, FX-991ES Plus, and FX-991CW.
In addition to these scientific versions, students are also permitted to use any standard (normal) calculator during their exams.
Regarding timekeeping, the board clarified that only non-programmable analogue wristwatches featuring hands will be permitted inside the testing centres.
