Moulvibazar district police has officially launched a special service titled ‘Apnar SP’ (Your SP) to bring police services closer to the public.

With the slogan “Let’s talk directly, let’s solve our problems,” the initiative allows residents to speak directly to the Superintendent of Police (SP) via video call from their local police stations.

As part of the programme, dedicated ‘Apnar SP Desk’ have been set up at all seven police stations across the district.

Each desk is operated by a female operator nominated by the SP to assist citizens in connecting with the district’s top police official.

The service removes the need for residents to travel to the district headquarters to file complaints or seek police support. Instead, they can now speak with the SP directly from their own station.

Additionally, police personnel stationed at remote outposts will also be able to communicate with the SP via video call to report their concerns.

The event was presided over by Superintendent of Police MKH Jahangir Hossain, PPM-Service.

The goal is to reduce public suffering by ensuring quicker and more direct service delivery. At the same time, it will help ensure accountability among field-level officers.”

He urged citizens to avoid any financial transactions or middlemen when seeking police services.

“If necessary, speak directly with the SP via video call from the officer-in-charge’s or duty officer’s room at your local police station,” he added.
