Apex and bKash have jointly launched a set of offers in Dhaka on 6 July 2026 to make shopping more rewarding through digital payments, combining discounts, gifts and mobile financial services across Apex’s retail network and online store, according to a press release said.
The initiative covers Apex’s 342 outlets nationwide and its online platform, aiming to encourage cashless transactions by allowing customers to make secure payments via bKash without the need for cash or loose change.
An agreement was signed recently at the Apex head office in Gulshan, Dhaka, attended by senior officials from both organisations. From Apex, Chief Executive Officer Firoze Mohammad and Head of Marketing Md Raihan Kabir were present. From bKash, Chief Commercial Officer Ali Ahmmed, Head of Merchant Payments Faisal Shaheed, and Vice President of Merchant Payments S M Khaled Bin Halim attended the signing.
Under a campaign linked to the ongoing Football World Cup season, customers have the chance to win a jersey signed by national football team star Hamza Choudhury. The offer applies to bKash payments above Tk 3,000 when purchasing shoes, sandals, bags and T-shirts from the Apex lifestyle brand Sprint.
The promotion runs until 8 July 2026, with up to 20 winners selected daily. Each customer is eligible to win once during the campaign period, the companies said.
As part of the Apex School Smart Campaign, bKash users are also receiving a 5 per cent discount on selected products when paying via the mobile payment platform.
The companies said they plan to continue introducing joint promotional campaigns throughout the year as part of efforts to expand digital payment adoption and customer engagement in retail shopping.
In addition to discounts and gifts, bKash highlighted its Pay-Later service, which allows customers to make purchases at Apex even when they do not have sufficient account balance at the time of payment, offering collateral-free short-term flexibility.
The bKash app also supports payments through linked Visa cards and allows users to add funds from bank accounts and cards via its Add Money feature, providing multiple options for managing digital transactions.
