An earthquake was felt again in Dhaka and other parts of the country on Tuesday night.
The tremor occurred at approximately 9:34pm local time, registering a magnitude of 5.9 on the Richter scale.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the point of origin for this late-night quake was situated near the Sittwe region in Myanmar.
This event followed an earlier, milder earthquake that struck during the pre-dawn hours at 4:30am. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) reported that this initial tremor measured 4.1 magnitude, with its epicenter located specifically in Satkhira district.
Despite the frequency of the tremors within a 24-hour period, officials stated there have been no immediate reports of casualties or property damage linked to either the morning or nighttime activity.
