Jago Entertainment’s special drama Amader Bishwacup, which centres on football fever and the lives of a middle-class family, has surpassed five million views on YouTube within days of its release. The drama has also received an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers in the comments section.
Directed by Mahidul Islam Mahi, the drama tells the story of a middle-class family caught up in the excitement of the FIFA World Cup. It explores the rivalry between Brazil and Argentina supporters through the relationship of a husband and wife, while also portraying neighbourhood celebrations, flag displays and the festive atmosphere surrounding the tournament. The production has remained a topic of discussion among viewers since its release.
The cast includes Irfan Sajjad, Sunehra Binte Kamal, Nader Chowdhury, Munira Akter Mithu, Deepa Khandakar, Saraf Ahmed Jibon, Saidur Rahman Pavel, Dilruba Doyel and Mukit Zakaria.
