Alia Bhatt has reportedly become Bollywood’s highest-paid actress, with multiple Indian media reports claiming she received ₹25 crore (approximately Tk35.5 crore) for her lead role in Alpha, the latest instalment of Yash Raj Films’ ambitious Spy Universe.
Although Yash Raj Films has not officially confirmed the figure, the reported remuneration places Alia ahead of Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif in Bollywood’s current pay rankings.
According to Times of India, Deepika earned slightly more than ₹20 crore (approximately Tk28.4 crore) for Kalki 2898 AD, while Katrina reportedly receives around ₹15 crore (approximately Tk21.3 crore) per film. Priyanka Chopra, once among the industry’s highest-paid actresses, is now largely focused on her Hollywood projects.
Alpha features a star-studded cast led by Alia. Bobby Deol plays her father in the action thriller and has reportedly been paid ₹6 crore (approximately Tk8.5 crore) for the film following the success of Animal.
Sharvari Wagh, who plays a pivotal role, is reportedly receiving ₹3 crore (approximately Tk4.3 crore) for the project. Veteran actor Anil Kapoor is also said to have earned a similar amount.
The film will also feature a special cameo by Hrithik Roshan, who reprises his popular character Kabir from the Yash Raj Films Spy Universe. However, details of his remuneration have not been disclosed.
Alia’s transformation into a full-fledged action star has generated considerable discussion on social media, with opinion divided over whether she suits the demanding spy role. Despite the mixed reactions, the makers remain confident that Alpha will become one of the biggest releases in the Spy Universe franchise.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Alpha is scheduled to hit cinemas on 3 July 2026 and is being positioned as one of the studio’s most ambitious action spectacles to date.
