Professor Ali Riaz, special assistant to the chief adviser, has been appointed as the chief coordinator for public awareness campaigns ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and the referendum.
The appointment was confirmed on Wednesday through a special directive issued by the office of the chief adviser.
According to the directive, Ali Riaz will be responsible for planning and coordinating all public awareness campaigns related to the election and referendum.
Currently serving as special assistant to the chief adviser, Ali Riaz has been granted the rank of ‘Adviser’ by the government.
He previously served as vice-president of the National Consensus Commission, a body tasked with fostering political reform and national consensus.
A respected political scientist and analyst, Professor Ali Riaz brings decades of experience to the role, which is expected to be pivotal in engaging the public and promoting informed participation in the electoral process.
