Popular singers Akash Mahmud and Ina Khan have teamed up for a new song, Dalim Thot, offering music lovers a fresh blend of Bangla music and Afrobeat.
The fusion track has been released on the Akash Dream Music YouTube channel.
Ina Khan wrote the lyrics, while Akash Mahmud composed and arranged the music. The pair also appeared as models in the music video. Gaurab Gogo choreographed the video, which Ashik Mahmud directed.
Speaking about the song, Ina Khan said although she was born abroad, she has always felt a strong connection to Bangla culture. She said that love inspired her to create ‘Dalim Thot’, blending Bangla music with Afrobeat.
She added that she worked on the project with complete trust in her two brothers, Ashik and Akash, and hoped listeners would embrace the song. She also expressed gratitude to the entire team.
Akash Mahmud said audiences had long told him that he performed the same style of songs. He said he wanted to meet those expectations by introducing something different through the Afrobeat-inspired track. He added that Dalim Thot was the result of the combined efforts of three siblings—Ashik, Ina and himself—and expressed hope that the song would offer listeners a new musical experience.
Director Ashik Mahmud described Dalim Thot as one of the team’s dream projects. He said Afrobeat-inspired songs remain rare in the Bangla music industry, and the team wanted to introduce something new. He credited the entire team’s dedication and hard work for bringing the project to life.
