Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Eva Longoria shared a warm greeting at the Cannes Film Festival 2026, with a video of the pair exchanging cheek kisses on the red carpet quickly going viral on social media.
The moment took place during the ongoing festival in Cannes, which concludes on May 23. Longoria later reposted a video from Galafr on her Instagram Stories showing the two stars greeting one another before posing for photographs together.
Dressed in white, Longoria also shared a series of red carpet photographs with the caption: “All white for the Palais.”
The Hollywood actor also met Jacqueline Fernandez during the event. Fernandez praised Longoria’s work with the Global Gift Foundation, describing the initiative as being rooted in “hope, dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunity”.
Sharing photographs from the event, Fernandez wrote: “@evalongoria @mariarbravo thank you for having me co chair the @globalgiftfoundation with you today in Cannes.”
She added: “What makes this foundation so special is that it combines awareness with real action and long-term impact. Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her much-anticipated appearance at Cannes wearing a custom-made gown by designer Amit Aggarwal.
According to details shared by the designer, the outfit featured “Crystal Vein embroidery”, combining crystalline embellishments with sculptural lattice-like structures to create ‘luminosity, depth and fluidity’.
Aggarwal revealed that the gown required more than 1,500 hours of craftsmanship and was designed in an ‘abyss blue’ shade inspired by cosmic light and infinite space, with surfaces engineered to transform under movement and lighting.
