The new executive committee of the Journalist Association of Kishoreganj has been announced, aiming to uphold ethical journalism and protect the rights of journalists.
In the newly formed committee, Ahmad Farid, chairman of IPTV BD Channel-4, has been elected president, while Shariful Alam, Kishoreganj Correspondent of The Daily Times of Bangladesh, has been elected general secretary.
The announcement was made on Monday evening at the association’s office in Akhra Bazar of Kishoreganj district town.
Other key positions include ASM Saleh Babul assSenior vice president, Talat Aziz as vice president, Mostafa Shawon as joint general secretary, Hafizur Rahman Suman as treasurer, Shafiqul Islam Nayeem as organising secretary, Md Imran Hossain as office secretary, and Md Zakirul Alam Shiplu as publicity and publication secretary.
The other members include Md Kanchan Sikder, Shakil Ahmed Nadvi, Nur Ahmed Palash, Mizanur Rahman Shaheen, Raihan Zaman, and Haris Ahmed.
