Director Raihan Rafi is bringing horror film ‘Andhar’ to big screens, with celebrated ’90s actress Afsana Mimi in the lead role. Mimi’s last film ‘Utshob’ was a box-office hit and her return to cinema has once again drawn strong interest from audiences and producers alike.

Currently shooting near Dhaka, Andhar will also feature Nazifa Tushi, Siam Ahmed and Chanchal Chowdhury. While Tushi was initially paired with Siam, sources confirm she will ultimately be seen opposite Chanchal.

The film is inspired by the long-standing passion for ghost stories shared by Saidus Salehin Suman of rock band Aurthohin and Shakib Chowdhury of Cryptic Fate. In the past, the two friends, along with Jibran, hosted a radio show called ‘Bhoutist’, exploring haunted places and eerie folklore across the country.

Their dream of expanding it into a TV series and a feature film was stalled by busy schedules and Suman’s illness. With Andhar, that vision is finally being realized.

Alongside Andhar, the production house has plans for several other projects.
