Additional Assistant Commissioner of Taxes Mohammad Masudur Rahman has been temporarily dismissed for the offense of being involved in causing significant revenue loss in exchange for financial benefits.
This information was disclosed in a notification signed by National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan on Monday.
The notification stated that Mohammad Masudur Rahman, additional assistant commissioner of taxes at Tax Zone-Faridpur, has been subjected to departmental proceedings for his role in assisting activities related to substantial revenue loss in exchange for financial benefits.
For this reason, he has been temporarily dismissed from service under Rule 12 of the Government Employees (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018.
During the period of temporary dismissal, he is entitled to subsistence allowance as per the rules.
