Commerce Ministry additional secretary Md Abdur Rahim Khan has taken charge as the administrator of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the apex trade body of the country.
He formally assumed office on Sunday morning following an official order from the Commerce Ministry issued under Section 17 of the Trade Organization Act, 2022, FBCCI said in a statement.
According to the order, Abdur Rahim Khan has been appointed to oversee FBCCI’s operations and conduct a free and fair election within 120 days, after which he will hand over responsibility to an elected board.
