The Bangladesh Police will launch online General Diary (GD) services across all railway police stations in 24 districts starting Thursday.
According to a statement from the Police Headquarters, the service will be available in all six districts under the Railway Police jurisdiction. The initiative aims to bring all types of police services online, allowing the public to file GDs without needing to visit the police station.
In the press release issued on Wednesday, it was mentioned that the Bangladesh Police, under the guidance of the Chief Adviser, is simplifying police services by enabling the public to file GDs from the comfort of their homes.
To access the service, individuals can download the ‘Online GD’ app from Google Play Store. After registration, they will be able to file any type of GD online. No multiple registrations are required.
In case of any difficulty with registration or filing an online GD, citizens can contact the 24/7 hotline at 01320001428 for assistance.
The police emphasised their commitment to providing faster and more accessible police services to the public.
