The 29th Polar Ice Cream School Handball Plate Final is set to take place Monday, at the M. Monsur Ali National Handball Stadium in Paltan. The competition has reached its final stages with the boys’ and girls’ divisions eagerly anticipating the championship matches.
In the boys’ category, four teams have reached the semifinals: Nirjhor Cantonment Public School and College, Motijheel Government Boys’ High School, Bangladesh International School and College, and Nirjhor and Mitali Bidyapith High School.
The first boys’ semifinal will be held at 10:00 AM between Nirjhor Cantonment Public School and College and Motijheel Government Boys’ High School. The second semifinal, scheduled for 11:00 AM, will feature Bangladesh International School and College against Nirjhor and Mitali Bidyapith High School. The boys’ final will take place at 3:30 PM.
In the girls’ category, the teams advancing to the semifinals include South Point School and College (Banani), Wills Little Flower School and College, St. Francis Xavier’s Girls’ School and College, and Sher-e-Bangla Girls’ College.
The first girls’ semifinal will begin at 8:00 AM, with South Point School and College (Banani) facing Wills Little Flower School and College. The second semifinal, scheduled for 9:00 AM, will see St. Francis Xavier’s Girls’ School and College compete against Sher-e-Bangla Girls’ College. The girls’ final is set for 2:30 PM.
The winners of both divisions will receive their awards at the end of the tournament, with Mr. Khaled Anwar, Treasurer of the Bangladesh Handball Federation, presenting the prizes.
