The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued warnings for several divisions, including Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet. Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, is anticipated across these areas. Some regions in the northern and eastern parts may witness moderate to heavy rainfall, which could disrupt daily life and lead to localized flooding.
Authorities are urging residents to remain cautious as the cyclone approaches, especially in the affected areas. The BMD has advised maritime ports in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra to lower signal No. 2 due to the approaching storm. Fishermen and mariners are also urged to stay off the open sea during this period to avoid potential hazards.
In terms of public safety, residents are advised to stay indoors during heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. Travel should be avoided, and all local instructions should be followed.
