Tarique vows to build a democratic, people-friendly Bangladesh

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has vowed to build a democratic and people-friendly Bangladesh through people’s verdict in the upcoming national election.

He made the pledge while virtually addressing a view-exchange meeting with leaders of the 12-Party Alliance, the Nationalist Like-Minded Alliance, LDP and Labour Party at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka on Friday.

“Through your unity and a long path of struggle, the fascist regime has been overthrown in the mass uprising of students, workers and the people in July last year.”
BNP organised the meeting with its allies after a national election is set to be held in February next.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee members Nazrul Islam Khan and Selima Rahman, Vice-Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu, 12-Party Alliance chief Mostafa Jamal Haider, Nationalist Like-Minded Alliance convener Fariduzzaman Farhad, and LDP Secretary General Redwan Ahmed, among others, were present at the event.
