India pacers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna have reached career-best positions in the latest ICC Men’s Test Bowler Rankings following their match-winning spells in the fifth and final Test against England at The Oval.
Siraj, named Player of the Match for his performance, climbed 12 places to 15th in the rankings with a career-high 674 rating points. Prasidh Krishna, who also picked up eight wickets in the narrow six-run victory, rose 25 places to 59th with 368 points, his highest ever in the format.
It was a memorable match for both bowlers, who delivered under pressure to help India clinch the Test series.
England’s pace duo Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue also achieved personal bests after claiming eight wickets each in the same match. Atkinson broke into the top 10 for the first time, while Tongue climbed 14 places to 46th.
In the batting rankings, India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his rise, jumping three spots to enter the top five with 792 rating points after scoring a century at The Oval. England’s Joe Root and Harry Brook remain at first and second respectively.
From the Zimbabwe–New Zealand Test series, Daryl Mitchell moved up four places to enter the top 10 among Test batters. His teammate Matt Henry surged into fourth position in the bowling rankings with a career-best 817 rating points, reflecting his continued red-ball success following strong performances in limited-overs cricket.
In T20I rankings, Australia’s Tim David climbed two spots to 16th after scoring a rapid century against the West Indies. Pakistan opener Saim Ayub leapt 25 places to reach 37th, following his impressive run in Florida.
West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder, the top T20I wicket-taker for his side, improved 23 spots to sit joint-32nd with South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj in the ICC Men’s T20I Bowler Rankings.
