TekEasy has entered Bangladesh’s technology retail market with its first store in Dhaka’s Motijheel, bringing together smartphones from Infinix, Tecno and itel alongside lifestyle and technology products under one roof.
The outlet, located at 99/CA Motijheel, officially opened on 12 October, offering customers access to multiple smartphone ranges, product comparisons and purchasing guidance, with cashback of up to Tk7,000 on selected models, the company said in a press release on Wednesday.
The store marks the beginning of TekEasy’s retail operations in Bangladesh, with Infinix smartphones forming a key part of its product portfolio.
Customers can compare models, examine features and seek guidance before choosing devices suited to their needs and budgets.
The outlet stocks four Infinix smartphone ranges targeting different consumer segments.
The GT series caters to gaming enthusiasts, particularly PUBG players, while the flagship Note series targets professionals and business users seeking productivity, entertainment and enhanced viewing capabilities.
The Hot series focuses on younger consumers with colourful designs and features for gaming and photography, while the Smart series offers more accessible devices for everyday use.
Alongside these models, customers can explore selected Tecno and itel products and other technology essentials for work, entertainment, gaming and communication.
TekEasy said the new outlet aims to improve consumer access to Infinix smartphones through a physical retail presence while offering a broader choice of technology products at different price points.
The cashback offer of up to Tk7,000 applies to selected smartphone models, subject to terms and conditions.
The company said its multi-brand retail approach was designed to make technology shopping more accessible and convenient, allowing customers to compare products from different brands in one location.
Infinix Mobility, founded in 2013, designs, manufactures and markets mobile devices, primarily targeting younger consumers with products combining technology, design and performance. Its brand positioning centres on the slogan “The Future Is Now”.
The company’s products are sold in more than 70 countries across eight regions, including markets in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and South Asia.
As of April 2023, Infinix reported one concept store in Morocco, 74 authorised stores overseas, representing 30% year-on-year growth, and more than 46,700 retail outlets worldwide.
The brand also organises offline events for its customers, offering early access to products and technologies as well as opportunities to test its XOS fan edition.
The Motijheel outlet is intended to bring Infinix’s smartphone portfolio closer to Bangladeshi consumers while establishing TekEasy’s presence in the country’s technology retail sector.
