Six representatives of Nagad, the digital financial service of the Bangladesh Post Office, were honoured on Thursday for their contributions to expanding postal and digital financial services nationwide, as the country marked World Post Day 2026 and Postal Service Week.

The Postal Department presented the awards across three categories — distributor, Uddokta (agent) and Nagad Sheba — during a commemorative postage stamp unveiling and prize distribution ceremony at Dak Bhaban in Agargaon, Dhaka, on 15 October, Nagad said in a press release.

Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam, MP, attended as chief guest and said Nagad had recently contributed Tk18 crore in profits to the Postal Department.

“Nagad continues to yield substantial returns for the Postal Department,” he said, adding that the government aimed to accelerate its progress.
